Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.
“Stand at the crossroads and look. Ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is and walk in it. And you will find rest for your souls.” -Jeremiah 6:16
As old as time as new as the morning
Culture sees old as irrelevant, no longer useful, obsolete. We are presented with shiny new inventions to tantalize our senses. Adam and Eve faced that in the garden of Eden. There is just enough truth to deceive the unwary. Old things do rust and decay, but not wisdom. Wisdom is gained from experience and experience takes time. Generations have passed leaving their experience for us to learn from. Add to that God, who is the ancient of days, and we have wisdom to live by.

“The heart wants what it wants.” “He has a hard heart.” “She has a heart of ice.” We can paint a lot of negative pictures about the heart, because the heart is fragile. To find love you have to risk a broken heart in the process. We hide our hearts, guard our hearts, and eventually isolate our hearts. But what if it didn’t need to be this way? What if God, who created the heart, could restore it, and take a broken, cold, stone heart and fill it full of life? He has done that for a lot of people, and he can do it for you.
